Bookkeeper

In conjunction with Connections mission to support people with disabilities throughout the community, the Bookkeeper, reporting to the Director of Finance, provides fiscal support to include: personnel file management, program billing, 401K reports, annual reporting, monthly account closings, and other administrative operational responsibilities that impact the fiscal department.

SPECIFICATIONS:
A high school diploma is required and experience with customer service and bookkeeping knowledge is required. The position also requires working knowledge of computer systems and extreme attention to detail is necessary and this position requires effective organizational skills. Strong knowledge of spreadsheet software and accounting software is required.

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and provide proof of insurability unless otherwise approved by the Executive Director.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must possess sight/hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately so that the requirements of the position can be fully met.

SCHEDULE:
Business office hours are Monday to Thursday from 8am - 4:30pm and Fridays 8:00-12:00. This position will work 36/week inside of the stated business hours (position is paid for 40 hours).

ESSENTIAL FISCAL FUNCTIONS:
1) Responsible for Account Reconcilation
2) Provide other bookkeeping duties such as 401K reports, annual reporting requirements, monthly account closings, and other reconciliations
3) Payroll
4) Accounts Payable

ESSENTIAL BUSINESS FUNCTIONS
1) Provide support as needed to Director of Finance
2) Prepare, attend and participate in monthly supervision with immediate supervisor
3) Perform other duties as assigned.
