Semi-Independent Living

SILS (Semi-Independent Living Services)

The semi-independent living program provides individuals with the minimal supports they need to live on their own. Besides supporting individuals with basic living skills, the program provides emotional support and encouragement for decision making. The individual and their team will determine the number of service hours received each month according to each individual's specific goals and circumstances. The service hours will be spent with the individual's direct care staff to achieve the desired goals, such as:

  • Nutrition, Meal Planning, & Preparation
  • Obtaining & Maintaining a Home
  • Self-Administration of Medication
  • Personal Hygiene
  • Shopping
  • First Aid & Emergency Planning
  • Learning & Exercising Rights & Responsibilities of Community Living
  • Social, Recreation, & Transportation Skills
